is it possible to miss a period while breastfeeding??? is it common??

  • lol i have been breastfeeding for almost 6 months, and have yet to have a period at all, so yes i would say it is common

  • Yes, I missed all periods for 11 months with my son. It usually makes you miss them.

  • I breast fed my daughter for 16 months and didn't get a period until she was around 18 months. Everyone's body is different some start right away others take time. If you are concerned about getting pregnant, and you CAN get pregnant while breast feeding talk to your dr about BC options.

  • Irregular periods are common. But also know that pregnancy is possible!
