Milk Banks For Donor BreastMilk,What Is The Best Place You Have Used For This ?

I'm looking at wanting to use a milk bank.

I'm concerned though what place anyone has found to be best and what city/state for price, quality, good screening process for diseases not to be transferred to the milk.

Any help would be appreciated.

    http://www.nationalmilkbank.org/

This is the info you need. The second organization only provides milk for sick and premature infants; their screening process appears to be very rigid.

  • You can get milk directly from a mom and pasterize it yourself. It' better for your baby and cheaper. You can have the donor give you medical back ground information that is signed and faxed or mailed directly from a doctor's office with a doctors sinature.

If you are leary of this idea I understand...I was too when I first started donating mom to mom but after I did some research and read ALL the information at www.milkshare.com I realized it was the best option.

Can I ask why you can't breastfeed? Maybe there is something that can help you that another mom knows about but you haven't heard about yet???

GOOD LUCK SWEETIE and CONGRATS on making a healthy decision for your child.
