Damn tumbleweeds!

any thoughts on what to do with tumbleweeds?  I puled a ton of huge ones after we moved into this house...and threw them over the fence-into the desert area- thinking over winter they would break down and that would be that, but every time the wind blows here (which is a lot) they come back to me. UGH. they are too big to put into the trash-though I do put smaller ones in there when I have room, but seriously...what to do?!  thoughts?

maybe something decorative?

NO!

  • Burning would be my suggestion, on a non windy day. You could make wreaths or grind them and put them in a compost pile

  • I saw a lot of them when I lived in west Texas. We had a small fenced-in yard that kept them out, so I have no real suggestions.

Are you allowed to burn them?

  • Can you chop them up and throw them in the trash or the compost pile?

  • I have never seen a tumbleweed in real life! Maybe make wreaths out of them & sell them on etsy!

  • I'd have a bonfire with them if I thought it wouldn't get completely out of control!
