Have you done any outside gardening yet?

I did, but unfortunately, we have a frost warning tonight and I have to bring everything inside.

  • My tulips are coming up. One opened. Last year this happened and they died a week later because it got chilly again.

  • Just a bit, and I know you like the outdoors, so here is a question for you, is it better to put sod down during the Spring or Fall? We had a huge problem with the sewers in our front yard and have been told 2 different things by 2 different companies.

  • Not yet. Around here the tip is always, "No planting before Mother's Day."

  • Not yet thankfully, we have a frost warning also. The farm next to us have planted tomatoes though. @jerseydiva, my DH said it doesn't really matter, but keeping it moist is essential. He also added that during the fall, the roots go 'dormant', so they won't be growing.
