My son is a month old and hes eating 3.5 ounces every 2 hours. I'm concerned, should I be?

  • if you think hes eating to much , i wouldnt worry unless hes showing health problem like hes not getting enough nutrients or something, otherwise if all is good i wouldnt worry :) my lil girl went through a pig out stage when she was a month old where she ate 4 oz ea feeding for about a week or two then she slowed down

  • I had a similar issue with my son and we just kept up with his large intake until he started showing signs that his stomach couldn't handle what he wanted and then we were able to ween him back down to smaller amounts of formula, but all babies are different
    it is a pretty normal amount

  • Sounds ok to me, but you can try to stretch the 2 hours a little. Try to distract him when he starts to fuss. Good luck!!

  • 3.5 x 12 = 42 ounces per day. Sounds like a lot to me but I didn't deal with that much formula.
