Where can I find... furniture? I am moving and have to start from scratch I have a few household items, but will need to get most everything, including furniture. I can't afford to buy everything so I will need to find furniture and other household items. Any ideas on where I can find things free or EXTREMELY cheap?

  • There are often some very nice home furnishings at secondhand stores and garage sales.

  • Salvation Army and Goodwill has super cheap furniture but not for free. People are always giving away free stuff on However, don't go alone to meet them when you pick up stuff. You can also continue picking up free stuff and reselling as extra income. This teenage girl did it and earned enough to buy a house. Just make sure you have room for all the stuff. Electronics, appliances, DVDs and CDs are good resellable items. Some churches will ask around for you to help you find stuff, just talk to a staff member.
