  • You could do a sleepover on Friday, have a spa party. Do hair, makeup, mani-pedis. You could also buy a karaoke machine and hook it up to the TV.

  • I was invited to a young girls birthday party, and they had a fabulous makeover party. The girls did their hair and make-up with the help of a few grown ups, and the mom put together a fun little set with 'dress up' items like feather boas, hats costume jewelry, etc. took pictures and the girls had a garden tea party after, with little sandwiches, fruit and veggies, and tea cups of course.

The mom had gone to the dollar store and gotten each girl a little basket and an assortment of make-up items. She even found the boas there. She had a small picture frame and printed the pictures for each girl to take home. The party was a great hit.

  • Why not a sleep over/ make over party? Some consultants will come and help with skin care beauty care for a small fee or the promise that at least you will buy some products. You can have nail polishes and glosses and curling irons etc and let them have a ball or teach them how to do a manicure pedicure on themselves. Movies and snacks.

  • Dress up party. Unless she's not into the whole fairytale or princess thing then a spa day party would be good.

  • Why is a sleepover out?
It's not like the little girls are driving themselves to the mall and shopping for a last minute gift. The dads do that.
The dads can also come pick up their daughters in the morning while the moms sleep in!
You could even have the girls make some kind of craft for the moms at the party!

  • For my dd's 11th bday we had it at the local skating rink. She and her friends loved it - the rink played all their favorite songs, had the disco lights on, etc. I got her a zebra print cake from a bakery with "Happy Birthday Kat" written in turquoise (her favorite color).
