  • Ask your childs pediatrician if you're concerned.

  • Yes, there is a wide range of normal. My oldest got his first tooth at 10 months. My youngest got his around 5 or 6 months. My sister's twins got their first tooth at 14 months.

  • Nope but ask your pediatrician

  • I had my second child knowing that all kids develop different. Only to have them cut teeth and start walking at exactly the same age. I never expected it. Your Pediatrician will ask you if they've reached certain milestones at the wellness check ups. Dr will tell you if they should be doing things that they aren't yet. I don't think teeth come at any specific age.

  • Don't compare your child to other people's children or how you grew up. ALL children grow and develop differently. My DD got her first teeth at 7 months. My DS had 4 teeth the month he turned 3 months.

  • Yes, it's perfectly normal. I have twin daughters. One got her first tooth at 4 months, the other at 11 months :) No worries!

  • My dd got her first tooth at 17 months. Kids vary greatly on when they get teeth.

I asked my pedi and dentist, and both agreed there is no need to do testing until they hit 18 months. If it is a genetic or thyroid issue, there are usually other signs something is going on.

It was a little nerve wracking to wait so long, but everything turned out fine for us.

  • I wouldn't worry a bit. All babies are different. No worries.

  • DD1: was around 7 months & got 2 in at once.
DD2: was around 8.5 months & got 2 in as well.

Babies just vary. There really is no "set" time.
