4/5 years old missing lots of teeth?

I noticed a person I know daughter missing the top 4 of her teeth and the bottom 5 of her teeth. She's younger than my 5 year old by about 3 months. My daughter just got get first loose tooth about a week ago, dentist said that was normal. But 8+ teeth?

What can cause this?

  • Well a few things could be the cause, trauma such as falling on the stairs and having teeth pulled like my 6yr old (2 front teeth), bad dental hygiene, or just happens to be losing them all at once.

  • I know this family doesn't have the best teeth...poor dental. It worried me this little girl could fall in the same place they are.

This girl when I babysat would only ever eat hot dogs and goldfish. Veggies NEVER.

  • I don't know, but my daughter is 6 ans has yet to get a loose tooth. She didn't cut her first on until she was 11-12 months old. I expect that she'll be one of the last in her class to get a loose tooth.
