I'm 49 yrs old and haven't had a period in almost 50 days

Hi I'm new to this fourm. I had a period in Jan 2013 then went 42 days w/o one then had it again in Feb for 6 days. From feb-Apr 16th nothing. Finally I started on the 17th of April and have been going ever since.It's now the 26th of April and it's still flowing. I've had my tubes tied almost 23 years ago. I don't have sexual intercourse w/my husband as often as he works away from home Mon-Fri. Please help with any advice you can give.

  • Go see your doctor, they can make it stop. You may be starting menopause, but it can be a sign of other things as well. This has happened to me before. It wasn't anything serious, but they did have to stop the bleeding using the pill.

    Really? She stated in the original post her tubes are tied, she hasn't been having sex and she's been bleeding profusely from her vag the last 9 days and you think she should take a pregnancy test?
