Egg allergies run in dh's side of the family. Fil couldn't even touch them as a kid and he still swells up today unless it's a baked good. One of my nieces (sil's youngest) has a bad egg allergy as well. DS doesn't have an egg allergy. I introduced DD, 10 months old, to egg yolk a couple weeks ago and she had no reaction. So, since the yolk is in the clear, is it ok to introduce the whole egg to her? I'm making scrambled eggs.

If there is a family allergy then I would wait until she is two to try eggs, nuts etc. That may be why your FIL has an egg allergy. It happens when certain foods are introduced too early.

You get allergies from your body building up a resistance to the food (you build up antihistamines). So she may have a reaction after eating it the second or third time.
