Do i report my welfare to ssi?

my son gets ssi for a learning disibility. i just got $400 from the welfare i applied for. will i report that as earnings for April?

  • Just because i qualify for aid doesn't mean I deserve your sarcastic comment, smiley. I have never received these things before so I am asking because obviously the state agencies are closed until Monday.

  • Definitely, report it. If they don't care, so much the better. But you could be asked to pay it back if you don't tell.

  • You must report all income, not matter where it comes from. It may not affect what you receive but as long as you report it you are in the clear

  • I'm not sure if they would count it or not, so if I were you, I'd report it just to be safe.
