  • We were in Hawaii in '92 when the volcano started to erupt. We went to Volcano's National Park & walked on the hardened new lava & the rubber on out sneakers started to melt. The radiant heat was incredible & scary. We watched as the lava flowed into the ocean at the beach. Soon after we left, the entire beach was engulfed. We have a video of it. Amazing.
