  • Rock candy! A description from Cake Central

I made some rocks out of fondant recently....they were really easy to do. Just swirled a few different earthy colors of fondant together, then molded them by hand & kind of squashed them against the counter to get some flat edges. I let them sit overnight to dry

  • How big do they have to be? The ones that But_Mommie linked are good. My kids love those and they do look like rocks. You could also cut up some marshmallows and roll them in a mix of powdered sugar and cocoa powder.

  • Rice crispy treats? Can shape them before they set and then roll in cocoa or frosting or something.

  • you might be able to make them out of crushed and dyed sugar cube? Otherwise, I've seen little pieces of gum that are shaped like rocks.

  • You can also dampen the mini marshallows and roll them in graham cracker crumbs.
