Hot tea when it's hot outside

I drink a cup of hot tea when I get up in the morning - I'm not a coffee drinker, so I use tea to wake up.

It's in the 80s outside right now, but I have a craving for a cup of hot green tea. But I feel like I'd be crazy to do it, since it's so warm out.

Does anyone drink hot tea when it's hot outside? If you do, does it make you feel way hotter?

  • Not at all. I won't drink it in the blazing sun like if I was floating in the pool but under an umbrella, yes.

  • I don't think drinking hot tea is any different than drinking hot coffee. I drink hot coffee every morning regardless of how hot it is outside.

  • I don't know why, but hot coffee or tea seems to cool me down when it gets really warm out.

  • Ballad, I've read somewhere that that can happen. Drinking it first thing in the morning, I'm fine. But later in the day, we get a really humid heat, so even sweating doesn't really cool you down. And I'm craving the hot green tea, but I'm just picturing myself getting even hotter.
