Cleaning white clothes.

I've washed clothes my entire life but I'm terrible at cleaning whites.. Especially if they have a little color or something on them. What's the best detergent to use to keep whites white? & what detergent keeps clothes smelling and feeling best.. Thanks :)

  • I use All Free & Clear, but I also add a scoop of OxyClean in with every load of whites, and if they have stains, I pre-treat those with OxyClean spray.

  • I use Tide because I like the scent, but I agree with the Oxyclean - that's good stuff!

  • I use Purex drop in tablets, and bleach. Also I always put my whites in with hot water.

  • I just throw in a pod and add a little bleach. To make things smell great, I take a spray bottle and add a little bit of Gain fabric softener and fill the rest of the bottle with water. Not only does it smell good, it doubles as a great wrinkle releaser! I never have to iron!

  • I use a detergent called Foca for your colors or Roma for whites, they are Phosphate free, sometimes I combine the two for some purposes, sold at Walmart
