  • I'm not sure what to call it, it's kind of like a stroganoff. I'm going to brown up hamburger, boil some elbow mac, then mix it together with mushroom soup and sour cream, and a little onion. It's good. I also do it with potatoes sometimes, too - but I don't boil the potatoes, I slice them kind of thin and then sort of fry them up a bit.

  • Tocino, which is a dish from the Philippines that my roommate from college got me hooked on years ago. Her husband is Filipino and they send me the marinade mix once in a while. You cut pork into thin strips and then marinate it in this mixture of sugar and spices, and then quick fry it. We'll have some of the cheesey rice I made the other night.

  • Mexican sloppy joes, which is what happens when you start making chili and realize at the last minute that what you thought was tomato paste was diced tomatoes, so you have to change gears.
