Other ways to use a rice cooker?

It sits and collects dust, can I cook anything else with it?

  • My son puts a steamer basket in his and steams fresh vegetables.

    There's enough room under the steamer basket to put rice if you like to mix the two.

    I use it similar to a crock pot to make soup. Mine came with a recipe book but you can see the link above for rice cooker recipes. You can also make desserts in them, too! Paella and jambalya is also good.  I use mine almost every day.
