What is a great gift for a 10 year old girl?

Any moms with a ten year old know of a great, unexpected, birthday gift? Just looking for ideas. I don't see her often and don't really know what she is into these days. Thanks!!

Edit........And I should have said no electronics allowed for the kids yet.

  • Go to Justice - just about anything in that store! Jewelry, squishy pillows in cool colors (turquoise, lime green, etc), nail polish, cute tote bags, etc. Claire's is another great store for that age.

  • Ipod would be nice...or if this is too expensive, some cute jewelry, or even a kit to make your own. Also a video game, lip gloss....

  • The only 10yr old girl I know is not like other 10yr old girls I don't think. She Loves Zombies and Walking Dead, Loves Dragons, and the Creepy gross Science Experiments, Loves animals. Her mom bought her a fox tail for her Halloween costume and wears it all the time. For her 9th b-day I got her a Raccoon Back Pack from Target, this year I got her a tin Lunchbox with Zombies all over it, and Mustache Band-Aids, and some other zombie type things, I can't remember. SO yeah, I don't think this is typical of normal 10yr old girls.

to be safe, ask her mom!

  • Gift card to Target, Toys R Us, or a Movie theater. That's a rough age to buy for if you're not sure what she's into. My 11 y/o loves Monster High Dolls, but there are so many, w/out knowing which ones she already has, you're safer with a gift card.

  • What does she like? If you don't know then I'd go with what mrsmom110 recommended.
