  • Yep, make sure you are using plain Greek Yogurt, as the flavored stuff can have a lot of sugar. And you could cut it back to half of a banana just to save a few calories. You wont miss it in the taste.

I love smoothies, and am creating new ones all the time.

  • I thought about using only half a banana but then I don't know what to do with the other half and don't want to waste it since you can't really keep a banana after it's been peeled.

  • I got the Ninja Master Prep last night since my smoothie maker was shot and leaking. :-D Yay! I can't wait to start making them again.

  • I slice mine and freeze them in little containers. It makes the smoothie colder and icier which I like and then I can use as much (or as little) as I want!!! :)

  • I never thought about freezing the banana that's smart. I already buy strawberries in bulk and slice and freeze them. Do you think I can freeze orange slices too??

  • If you've never had flax seeds though be careful... start out with a very small amount and go from there. They can cause massive gas if you are not used to them.

  • Oranges don't freeze well. I do freeze bananas to use only half at a time. Great way to preserve bananas that are going bad.
I agree with Nimue930 about the Greek yogurt. Plain all the way!
