  • both my daughters have a stomach bug; one had both vomiting & diahrrea last night the other just had diahrrea. here is what the ped suggested:

anything starchy and not greasy.....bread, crackers, oatmeal, potatoes, and bananas are good. I even give mine animal crackers. NO DAIRY

    How old is your daughter?

  • If she's puking....NOTHING unless it's been 6 hours since she last puked.

If not puking, just diarrhea, then if it's a starch, let her eat it! Breads, pastas, rices, bananas, crackers, etc...potatoes! No juice as that makes diarrhea worse, just water and milk (again as long as there is no puking)

  • My daughter is 2...and a major cheese lover! I took everyone's suggestions...I had forgotten about potatoes...and she had some homemade chicken noodle soup. I wish she liked bananas, I'm sure it would have helped "firm" things up a little :)
    Thanks everyone
