  • We just got back from a cruise on Princess line. You don't leave any tips, but there is a daily assessment of $11.50 per day. You can give more than that if you choose, but you don't have to. Also, if you have the same waiter for the entire cruise, you can give that person extra. The assessed amount is then evenly distributed among those who work on the ship, at least that is what we were told. We didn't have the same waiter, so we gave no extra.

  • It's different on different cruise lines, but on most it's a set "fee" and there is a minimum amount. It's not optional.

  • You don't tip, it's included already.

  • It may be included in the "fees" but in most cases if someone has done an exceptional job you may tip them a little extra.

  • Ours were always included, but then on the last night of the cruise you were asked to leave a little extra if you wanted to.

  • Check the website for the cruise you are taking. They will detail how the gratuities are handled for that particular cruise line including the minimum amounts. There will be envelopes at the end to use for extra tips if you want to. Tips are already included in the price of the drinks.

  • It depends on the cruise line. They will tell you whether it is included or not. Disney does not include tips in their price, but they set it up so you can either leave cash in an envelope or just charge it.
