  • You had a baby less than two months ago and you want to get pregnant again so soon? Seriously?

  • Because your body is NOT ready for another pregnancy yet. Fertility can take many months to return even without breastfeeding. That's self-defense... too many pregnancies too quickly can kill the mother.

Your body knows what it's doing. You might not get pregnant for a year or two. My own doc says two years between delivery of baby 1 and conception of baby2, for benefit of mom AND baby. Babies born too close together can suffer physically, and it will not make them closer as siblings. Indeed, my observation over the years is the closer in age, the more they hate each other.... but the farther in age the more they get along, especially as adults.

  • It takes a minimum of three months for your body to heal from birth. Remember there is a big gaping wound inside your uterus now where the placenta was attched. Getting pregnant again so soon could cause an infection. Not to mention what could happen if it implanted into the same spot.  Also your hormones have not switched back fully.  If you have not had a menstrual cycle yet, then your body is not ready. I highly doubt you are even ovulating at this point. It doesn't happen immediately.
