Kicked adult step daughter out

My 23 year old SD does drugs and drinks heavily. I don't want that around the younger children so I kicked her out. My DH is on board with it but my SD's mother isn't opinions yall?

  • Tell her to take the daughter in then. You are 100% right and I'm glad your husband is supporting you. Ignore the mother...

  • I hope her Mother can give her a place to stay and the family can come together to try and convince her she needs help.

  • I wouldn't want someone who drinks and does drugs around my kids, period. If I couldn't get her into rehab, then I guess she'd have to find somewhere else to live her life. Otherwise, I'd just be enabling her poor choices.

  • You & your husb. did what's best for your family. Like the others have said, let her mom handle it for a while. And hopefully the girl will get it together sooner rather than later!
