Have you had preeclampsia be for?

ok im 35 weeks and i have no way to cheek my blood pressure and my legs are starting to swell and they feel like they are throbbing did your legs do that?

  • To be diagnosed, you have to have all three:
    1.) High blood pressure
    2.) Protein in your urine.
    3.) Swelling.

    It is not considered preeclampsia without all three.
    And, yes I had it before with my oldest child.

  • Yes, I had it with my first. Swelling, in and of itself, is not a primary indicator, especially at 35 weeks. Why can't your doctor check your blood pressure?

  • If your legs are swelling then you should be lying down with your feet raised above your heart. Screw Wal-mart . Put a call into your OB and ask if you should be heading to the hospital. If he says yes call a cab or an ambulance. In the meantime get off your feet and rest.

  • When in doubt call your OB that is what they are there for and they may want to send you to the hospital or to their office.. But some swelling is normal during pregnancy make sure to take it easy put your feet up and drink water.
