  • Wendy's response made me laugh!

Mine was of the snake variety, and none of her kids even liked her. She passed away last September.

  • My MIL was my BEST mom!!
Her love and nurturing didn't involve changing my diaper or wiping my snotty nose, but she did Mother me better than either of my other moms. I miss her every day! <3

  • Sadly, my MIL passed away several years ago. She was neither a saint nor a snake - just a very nice person and I miss her greatly.

  • My ex MIL was very passive-aggressive, under a sweet act & ultra Catholic.

  • When we first started dating his mom did not like me much at all. Now she's one of my fav people and we are very close and talk about everything.

  • Neither saint or snake. She'll help us out in a pinch which makes her a saint, and then hold it over my head for a few years which is more annoying than anything. I love her though. She raised some good kids.

  • Snake I would say. Not that she is mean to me, we never hear from her for her to be mean, but she gave my Husband a crappy childhood. Plus, a month after having my baby she told me I needed to lose some weight, so screw her haha
