If you don't already, would you ever raise your children in the town you were raised?

I call the town I was raised The Black Hole. Everyone did drugs, I hate that I can easily recognize the meth head at my sons elementary school in my new town. I do not even like visiting my old town, I wouldn't even drive through for gas if my Mother didn't still live there.

So, would you ever raise your kids in the town you grew up?

  • Never, it was like yours. Kids arrested in junior high for selling drugs.

Not my idea of a good place to raise a family.

  • I am raising my daughter in the town where I grew up, except it's hardly even the same place anymore, it's grown so much. When I was a kid, this was a cow town. Now it's a suburb of the nearest city.
