A good gift or not?

For valentines day, my boyfriend got me 3 fake flowers and a card. Is that a good gift? I got him a dress shirt with a tie, and a hooded jacket. Should I be mad at him?

  • No, dont be selfish.
My SO didnt get me anything... We cooked dinner together & just spent the night together & watched a movie.. Which is more than enough for me.
Valentines day is nothing but a "retail" day...
You dont need gifts or a "holiday" to know that your boyfriend or SO loves you..
Be grateful that he is with you.

  • uhh...NO. Why would you be mad at him? That's stupid IMO. He got you something, didn't he? And honestly he got you something that relates to Valentines day more than clothes do..I didn't get anything and we had a wonderful day!

  • No at least you got something! I would loove it if I got a gift which I didn't although he did cook breakfast for me.

  • My DH and I didn't get each other anything. Valentines day is just a commercial brainwashing excersize, making people think they *need* to get each other some cheesy gift. I'd much rather be surprised by a gift from the heart on a random day just because he loves me.

  • Hey at least he tried, right? I got a Nintendo DS, which my DH actually got for himself but because he got it in pink he says it was for me. So give him some credit guys suck at presents maybe for the next time presents are needed give him some guidance, like I tell my hubby when were walking through the store ohh i like this or wish we had money for this. He'll pick up on it eventually.

  • Were your gifts given because you expected a like gift in return? Then they weren't really gifts, were they.

  • This is the person that asked,

Thanks for the answers. I guess I just thought that since he always gets me weird gifts that he might didn't do it with heart but reading your answers helped me realize that he shows me love in many ways than I can imagine. Thanks. I guess I got caught up in the material things.
