Besides the Library, what/where are some good summer reading programs???

Our library offers a summer reading program but it isn't the greatest. Was wondering where else there might be summer reading programs that might be fun to try.

  • Check around at local businesses. Papa Murphy's had one here last summer that my daughter participated in. When she read ten books, which was two or three times over the summer, she got a free personal-sized pepperoni take-and-bake pizza.

  • Barnes & Nobel has one and there are some other online sites that do as well. Just google summer reading

  • Kmath mentioned Barnes and Noble. B&N also has a summer reading journal where if your child reads 8 books, they get to pick a book out for free.

Also, if there are any free lunch programs in your area, you may want to check out if they offer reading programs along side it as well. Check out your community center too.
