I like Carly but want something different. This just came to me...

Coralee Grace or Caralee Grace (car-uh-lee)

  • We have an old lady customer named Coralee, she goes by Cora. I like Caralee much better.

  • Caralee would likely be read & pronounced (by others) as Care-uh-lee rather than "Car" as in Carly. I think because it contains "Cara" which is commonly pronounced Care-uh.

    So if you were specifically going for CAR not CARE, you might have an uphill battle with that one.

    I like Coralee and Cora quite a bit. They strike me as quite different than Carly, though. (In overall feel.) If Carly is the name you actually like, why not go for it? If you love Coralee's old fashioned feel, then go for that.
