When you use a self-tanner, does it still work when you shower every day?

It says it's supposed to build up gradually but wondering if showering often slows down the process if it's lotion-based.

  • Moisturizing is key. The more hydrated your skin the better your faux tan will look and hold up even with daily showers and shaving. I do airbrush tanning and that is the best advice i can give out about sunless tanning.

  • I use the jergens and it doesn't wash off. Have you tried applying, letting it dry and applying a 2nd or 3rd coat?

  • Jergens, yes... it will last through a shower. See my other post though...

  • I use Jergens now and it completely washes off in the shower and also when it rains and I get stuck outside. I'm confused now.
