How do I make it stop?

My 8 month old is going around in his walker whining. He'll whine if I put him anywhere else. What's up with him?

  • Just lay on the floor with him and watch what he does or put him in the swing or walker or in the play pen or even in the car seat and if you are close to the washer put him on top of that they like the vibration or turn on the vacuum cleaner from a distance anything that will keep their mind off of what he is feeling. First of course make sure he is changed, fed and burped  just a suggestion. Or make sure his diaper is not poking him in his stomach (the tape part) It could be anything. I hope something helps. GL

  • He is at the age where he will start to try to manipulate you into doing what he wants or to let him do whatever he wants. It's not going to hurt him to whine, so if it gets on your nerves, put on some of your favorite music and drown out the whining. Your little man wants to be in control, and you will have to teach him that he is not because you are. May as well start right now.

  • Well, if he's fed and dry...then, obviously nothing is wrong with him.

Babies whine, sometimes for no reason at all.

  • Is he teething? Is he uncomfortable? Does he have diaper rash? Did you feed him something new? Did you change his diapers or wipes? Is he missing the love of mama?
