How do I calculate this?

I was on my elliptical and it said (distance- 1160) and (calories-297.80)

How far did I go?

And how much food did I give up or what did I give up? (For that moment)

what is it equivalent to?

Thanks ladies for translating ;)

  • a lot of things could add up to or be 297 calories (let's just call it 300)- I could be here a long time trying to make a list of things...

as for distance...1160-whatever that means (it doesn't have a different setting or something?)

*I would not actually trust what machines say for calories...but that's me. I think the only way to really know how hard you are working out is with a decent heart rate monitor

  • How long were you on it? I burn on average 430 calories in 30 minutes and go about 4 miles in that time, with a pretty decent tension.
