Sour Cream Pound Cake
1 cup butter
2-3/4 cup sugar
6 eggs, separated
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
1 cup sour cream
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, one at a time. Combine soda, salt, and flour. Add flour mixure and sour cream alternately to creamed butter and sugar. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into batter. Bake in greased and floured Bundt pan or tube pan at 350 degrees for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours or till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon mace
Add 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract.
Add 1/2 teaspoon orange etract and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Add 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
I've never made this into cupcakes, but I've done it in a 9 by 5 inch loaf pan and sliced it.
