Another Pharmacy story, no question :)

Pharmacist to patient: Mam, I see your profile is flagged, stating you have codiene allergies.
Patient: I do?
Pharmascist: Mam, the medication prescribed to you has a blend of synthetic codiene and if you're allergic to codiene, I need to know your symptoms. What kind of symptoms do you have?
Patient: You would know if I have allergies, wouldn't you?
Pharmacist: Mam, no, I wouldn't know! (Starting to get frustrated now)
Patient:Well, if I do then it's your fault'
Pharmacist:Mam, I will not release this medication to you and have you go into anaphylactic shock and die! Do you understand! Now, do you or do you NOT have allergies?
Patient:Dumb look.....still answer....
Pharmacist:I'll call your Dr, give me time to get through to their office, and we'll see if he can prescribe something else for you! Walks away....
Patient:Throws herself on the floor, wailing that the pharmacist refused her, her meds! She called the police! In which case, after seeing her ID, was arrested for outstanding warrants, ROTFLMAO!

  • She's in her 50's and it was Hydrocodone.

That explains it.... Sounds like a fit of someone who was trying to get her fix and was made she couldn't. Any beats those arrest warrants were for using drugs?

  • Ahhh, yeah...Dr. must have flagged her as a way of controlling her pain meds. LOL

  • She was probably allergic to codeine at one point to be prescribed something stronger/ more expensive on the street

  • Wow. Thank goodness idiots can also be ass holes. Otherwise she could have lied and ended up taking meds that could kill her.

  • If the pharmacist ever decides to move, could you send em to work here? Last time I was prescribed something I was allergic to, their solution was just to not fill it and not tell me until I went to pick it up.
