  • My 13 yr. old is spending 2-3 days a week in a vet's office helping and learning about the profession.
My 15 yr. old found a neighbor who works is willing to have him be a paid intern in CAD and some programming.

They will also mow lawns and babysit for extra cash.

  • There is very little for that age... most places won't hire until they are 16 b/c of the restrictions imposed by the Labor Laws.

As far as camps go most camps have CIT programs but the kids need to be 16. 14-15 year olds are still campers at that age. And they should be pretty much staffed by now. Good luck!

  • My younger 2 sons had the same job at 15, they each spent a summer as the mascot for a minor league baseball team. The minor league team also hired young teens for the snack bars, to sell programs, and other jobs at the baseball field. I would say this is a little late to start looking, jobs for kids under age 16 go quickly because very few places will employ them, but be creative in where you look.
