Calling all creative, gardening and pinterest sorts

have a garden, flowers and veggies

daughter 5.5, into fairies (or course)

want to make a "fairy' garden
just add some fairy like things on a strip of garden near her playhouse
strip maybe 2 feet wide wide sidewalk next to it- so nothing huge can be added

any ideas to add that will make this small area- fairy like?
any craft idea that i can make from household items and she can do with me a bonus

  • You should try a fairy house! Any small chunk of wood makes a great base, then add bits and pieces to make a roof, door, windows. Use little stones as a path. I've also seen ones using an overturned flower pot as a base. I will be doing this with my little fairy lover, too. :)

  • I'd plant a butterfly bush to attract butterflies & add some wind chimes & spray glitter onto the walkway maybe! Add a little chair & table maybe too.

  • Be careful planting a butterfly bush near where a chil will be paying. I have one by my front door, courtesy of the condo landscaping, and I wish I could rip it out. It attracts butterflies, yes, but also loads and loads of bees.
