  • If you are going to be working in a professional office, don't wear jeans and a T-shirt. If you are going to be flipping burgers, don't wear a business suit.

  • think about the job you'll be doing...are you going to work in an office, at a desk? then dress like other office workers. are you going to be working outdoors? then you shouldnt wear a skirt, heels, etc.

    just think for a few minutes about what you'd be doing everyday at the job and dress in a way that wont interfere with the job and that will blend in with the other employees.

  • I'll even add to that further - dress for the job you WANT, not the job you HAVE. In other words, if you want to move UP in a company, overdress.

    Best policy - always dress conservatively.
