What can I do with 16 0z of sour cream?

I have a tub of sour cream that I need to use right away. Any ideas?

  • if you have dry onion soup mix you could make french onion dip...that's the only thing i can think of

  • Or mix it with picante sauce and get some tortilla chips out.

  • Eat it with a spoon! yum!! also, sour cream adds great taste to anything, chili, spaghetti, hamburger helper....oh tomato soup too!

  • It last longer than the date listed, as a PP mentioned.

    You can make beef stroganoff or chicken paprikash.
    It's great with potato pancakes, on tacos, and nachos.
    It's also good on any kind of mexican flavored hamburger helper.

    You can bake with it. It keeps cakes nice and moist.
    You can mix it with equal parts cream cheese, add thawed, squeezed dried spinach, a drained can of artichoke hearts and garlic, along with some seasoning mix, and parm cheese and bake it. Serve with crackers and veggies.

  • Yes, it was already way past the date, lol.
    I ended up making a fruit dip with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and honey.
    Thanks for the suggestions, though! I'll keep this question open for more, in case I ever need them again :)
