  • My daughter's cat uses one of those flat circular cardboard things with the ball on a track that goes around the edge. Sometimes he uses a carpetlike toy that hangs on a doorknob for scratching. We bought him one of those carpeted scratching posts, but he wants nothing to do with it.

  • LOL. My cats love to scratch on boxes too, but they do have a carpeted scratching post.

  • i had one for mine and they never used it. they prefer my daughter's small rocking chair instead :/

  • No, he uses the stairs, they are carpeted....so I use his scratching post (tower) as a table for my drinks and snack when I"m watching movies.

  • Neither. All of my cats have been given a small, freshly split log to scratch and have never touched anything else indoors with their claws. After a few months they grew out of the logs and graduated to the trees outside :) Much more satisfying!
