Baby name problem !

My husband and I are having a baby girl very soon .... We already knew before we even got pregnant what her name would be, but now we have a little problem ...

Her name is a combination of two very important family member names - Aubrey and Brielle

So we have been set on the name Aubrelle .

I love the name and so does our family... the problem is, I have been catching myself and my husband referring to her as AubrelleA ... with the UH sound at the end .... it too sounds very pretty, and of course very similar ... He is now actually wanting to name her Aubrella instead of Aubrelle ... I really do not want to do that ....

I am not sure which is better ?

  • You could use the pronunciation of Aubrella, with the spelling of Aubrelle. I wouldn't have known the difference, looking at it. I've seen many names that pronounce the "e" as an "uh" instead of keeping it silent.

I'm assuming Aubrelle is pronounced: Aw-brell
    and Aubrella is: Aw-brell-uh

  • I was just about to say that Ballad lol.

Or Aubriella. I think Aubrielle or Aubriella are better than the ones you have picked out now. JMO

  • It is not uncommon for little girls named Gabrielle to become Gabriella... I like Ballad's Abrielle/a. Aubrelle/a does sound like umbrella o me...
