my sister is going through a hard time cant find job yet and no where to stay if she gives me temp custody and the dad has them on the wednesday from 330to930 and friday to sunday is their any way that thay can pull them from me i have everything thay need

  • Or are you worried social services will take them from you? As far as that, no unless you pose a risk to the kids they won't take them.

    If you are worried the father will, then yes HE could take them from you and keep them fulltime.

  • talk to a lawyer. They are the parents and if you sign a TEMP agreement she can take her kids back at anytime.

  • When you're at the lawyer, also ask about power of attorney. Dad my have to agree to the custody change, but he can't keep your sister from giving you poa. That way you can still make legal decisions for the kids, and it can be undone a lot easier than a custody change.

    do you not have room for your sister plus her child, while she gets back on her feet?
    or is there more to the story?
