Cutting Pills in Half

If I need to cut some tablets in half because they're too strong for me and the doctor said I could take half at a time, will it hurt anything to cut a bunch of them at once, or does the medication deteriorate? I want to cut a lot of them and keep them in the bottle that way because it's convenient, but not if the medication will be less effective.

  • It will be fine they don't change them at all as long as they are the kind that can be cut, which since your doc said to do it.

  • I do that with certain medications. It's probably best to check w/ the pharmacist on what medications that can be done with.
