Oh my! Pie! Share your favorite pie recipe.

I just made Mr.Food's Two Minute Hawaiian Pie. It's crazy good. I Iliterally hid in the closet and licked the bowl clean. :)

1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple in syrup, undrained
1 (6-serving-size) package instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
1 (9-inch) prepared shortbread pie crust
1 (8-ounce) can sliced pineapple, drained and halved
8 maraschino cherries, drained
2 tablespoons sweetened flaked coconut

In a large bowl, combine crushed pineapple with its syrup, dry pudding mix, and sour cream; mix until well combined. Spoon into pie crust and decorate top with pineapple slices and cherries; sprinkle with coconut.

Cover and chill at least 2 hours.

What's your favorite pie?

  • This looks close enough to my recipe, I'm too tired to go dig out the paper copy:

  • Taco Pie

    1 lb ground beef, browned
    1 can refried beans
    1 pkg taco seasoning
    1 jar salsa
    4 soft shell tacos
    1 pkg shredded cheese
    Lettuce, chopped
    Tomatoes, diced
    Sour cream
Whatever else you put on your tacos

Mix the 1st 4 ingredients over low heat in a skillet. Layer the bottom of a square/rectangle cake pan (mine is 9x12) with 2 taco shells. Pour the meat mixture over that and top with remaining shells. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake in oven at 425 for about 15 min. or until cheese is melted. Cut into squares and serve with toppings.

    Yummy!

  • I do a chocolate pie :

    2 T cocoa 3/4 cup sugar pinch of salt 3 T flour 2 egg yolks 1 1/2 cup milk 1 tsp vanilla

2 egg whites plus 4 T sugar (for meringue)

Cook milk, sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and egg yolks (well beaten) until it thickens up a bit. Cool a little and add the vanilla and put into whatever pie crust (pre baked) you prefer. Beat the egg whites and add the 4 T sugar until it peaks. Spread on the pie and brown at 350 for about 30 mins. Sometimes I'l chop up choco chips in my food processer to sprinkle on top when it's done

  • Strawberry Yogurt Pie

1 container plain yogurt (the big one, I think it's like a lb)
1 16 oz container cool whip
1 pkg strawberry jello (don't make it, just use the powder)
    1 pkg cream cheese, softened
    1 graham cracker crust

Mix all ingredients together and pour over crust. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
Sometimes I slice up strawberries and throw them in too.
