my dog is a pit bull about 6 to 8 months she had hair missing on the top of her back and sides in spots she was just fine in the day time but that evening we called her and she would not come, she would just lay not wanting to walk

she would go to her water bowl and look at her water with her head down low, and she started scraching at the bowl until she dumped it, refill the bowl and do the same, she felt, hot to the touch. her eyes looked sad. but she did not want to walk any where.. or eat, just lay Way back in places we could not find her, all this in less than 24 hours, what could the problem have been we found her died this morning....

  • There are a million things it could have been. Why was she never taken to a vet?

  • Why didn't you take her to the vet? We're not going to be able to tell you what was wrong with her, but all the signs you describe, you should have taken her to the vet.

  • Sounds like hot spots for the fur spots but that doesnt explain the rest if my pit was that lethargic i would take her to the vet asap

  • Don't ya think the title to the question should have been "My pit bull died last night, and we don't know what happened?"

    Get off of mom's computer.

  • I'm sorry your dog died. A trip to the vet as soon as you found her in distress would have been the best idea.
