1 Bump

I have a hanging basket on my front porch and a bird built a nest and laid an egg in it (the egg is blue). I noticed it when I came to water the basket today. I don't want to disturb it, but would like to move the basket to another location to the rear of my house. Will the bird find it and go back?

  • I wouldn't move it until the egg hatched and the bird moved on.

  • Not likely. If you move it the bird will most often abandon the nest

  • Unfortunately, I doubt if the bird would return to the nest.

  • Leave it where it is. It should hatch in a week or two.

  • Probably a robin. They build their nests in the dumbest places. I doubt she would be smart enough to figure out where it went!!

  • It sounds like a robins egg. Please don't move the basket. Mama might not return!

  • In 45 days they will leave, so just do nothing about it for now.
