  • Both my kids said Da Da or Daddy (around the same time) as their first words. DD at about 6 months and DS at about 8 months.

  • My kids all said their first word at different times. My oldest was about 7 1/2-8 months old (she said Dada). My son was 6 1/2 months. He said ball, followed by mama, baba, baby and bike (all within a week...he was using complete sentences at 12 months).
My middle daughter didn't say her first word until she was 16 months (mama). And my youngest daughter was about 7 or 8 months. She also said mama. Well, she screamed it at me to get my attention.
Now they never shut up, lol. My youngest (almost 3) was running through the house today screaming, "IT'S MY MONEY AND I WANT IT NOW!" She's a character.
