Are these true?

Since this pregnancy i have heard the can/can-not's of mommyhood:
1. Is it true i can't have any "dark" beverages? (grape soda, coca-cola, etc)
2. Sex isn't good for either the 1st half or the last half of pregnancy?
3. If your belly itches the baby has a lot of hair?

On a side note question: I have been taking iron pills but they make me horribly nauseaus afterwards. My dad says i should stop taking them if its making me feel nauseaus because it can harm the pregnancy...is there a substitue to taking iron pills? I heard eating iron foods like meat can take the place of iron pills

  • 1. Is it true i can't have any "dark" beverages? (grape soda, coca-cola, etc) Not True

    2. Sex isn't good for either the 1st half or the last half of pregnancy? This depends on whether or not your are considered high risk. There is a substance in semen that can cause you to miscarry. MOST women can have sex throughout with no problems.

    3. If your belly itches the baby has a lot of hair? Totally not true.

  • 1. Is it true i can't have any "dark" beverages? (grape soda, coca-cola, etc) No, though beverages high in sugar or caffine are not recommended in large doses.
    2. Sex isn't good for either the 1st half or the last half of pregnancy? um.. that makes it the whole time... so.. no. Though it varies between women.
    3. If your belly itches the baby has a lot of hair? No.
.is there a substitute to taking iron pills? If they were prescribed you need to take them. Take them at bedtime. If they were not prescribed check with your OB.

  • The old wives have been busy telling you tales, although it is true that some women don't react well to iron pills, and eating iron rich foods like meat and raisins can help.
