Is this a nice wording?

Im planning a friends babyshower. and making cards for everyone write loving words on/prayers/ect in for the mom.... Like a Blessing Tree or something of that sort....

Im trying to design the card right now.... Would "Rejoice & Pray" be a good choice of words for this?

  • How about "Your Best advice for the New Mom". That's what she needs the most. Rejoice & pray sounds creepy for a baby Shower & I'm Catholic. That's more for a Christening.

  • I like the idea of "blessings," too, since "Rejoice and Pray" has a Christian specific sound to it - if everyone is Christian that will work fine, but if not, you might want to think of something a little more ambiguous or malleable to the various beliefs of those attending :)

  • bandgeek, the shower is for a Christian Family. :)

Yes, but are all those who are attending Christian? They are the ones who have to fill it out. I think blessings is better.

  • Rejoice is okay but pray...makes it sound as if there is a problem

I agree that blessing is a good word to use

  • How about "Loving Words and Prayers" like you said in the question? That seems more clear to me.

  • I think 'pray' in this context suggests fear and danger. Not good. How about Rejoice & Trust? Or Give Thanks & be Blessed?
