  • Heartbeat is detectable by 6-7 weeks. It's possible you have an incorrect estimate of how far you're along, but I'm sorry to say the spotting doesn't sound good.

  • I'm sorry. I wish you the best, I really do, but the heartbeat should be detectable by eight weeks.

  • My oldest son's due date was Feb. 19th. I got pregnant with him over Memorial Day weekend. So, your due date is about two weeks earlier, so if we say that that means you got pregnant two weeks sooner than I did, there's a slight chance that the estimate of how far along you are is wrong - but it's a very slight chance.

I'm sorry. I hope that it is wrong and that things work out for you.

  • Unfortunately it sounds like you are miscarrying. The heartbeat should have been detected.

  • i had first scan at 6 weeks 2 days
doc said heartbeat was very faint and weak
had to go back in two weeks, then it was beating just fine

hope you are much earlier and everything works out for you

  • You can opt to repeat the ultrasound in a week or two if the bleeding stops.
